Burgess Recruitment is looking for a Permanent Crew Chef for a 74m Private Motor Yacht
Start Date: Mid February 2025
Location: Cape Town, SA
Holiday: 60 days per annum
Salary: €5500
Passport: Required to be valid for another year minimum
ENG1: Required to be valid for another year minimum
STCW: Required to be revalidated as per the 2017 STCW Manila Amendments
Visa: Schengen residency or visa (a US visa is a plus)
ISPS: DST & SSA training required
Itinerary: Worldwide
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cook for the crew and assist the chef onboard
- Handle all healthy food bases; experienced in culinary training preferred
- Capable of managing the galley independently when cooking for 20 crew members
- Enjoy scheduled holidays during the owner's trips
Current Vessel Status and Plans:
- The yacht is currently in the Maldives
- Planned trips include the Maldives, Cape Town, and Barcelona for a Med summer and shipyard stay
Ideal Candidate:
- Chef with a strong track record in similar roles
- Able to work independently and manage the galley during extensive crew-only periods
