Summary
Burgess recruitment is currently seeking an onsite 2nd eng for a 100m+ New Build yacht
The Second Engineer will play a pivotal role in the construction, commissioning, and operational readiness of a 100m+ new build vessel. Working closely with the Chief Engineer and other departments, the successful candidate will oversee engineering systems, ensure compliance with international maritime standards, and participate in daily operations during the new build phase and beyond.
New Build Phase
· Act as a liaison between the engineering team, shipyard, and contractors.
· Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of systems and machinery.
· Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
· Provide detailed feedback to the Chief Engineer regarding progress and issues.
· 2nd Engineer unlimited Coc
· New build experience a plus
Post-Delivery Phase
· Operate, maintain, and repair engineering systems onboard.
· Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules.
· Work collaboratively with the crew to ensure vessel readiness and operational efficiency.
Start date: ASAP
Duration : Until May-July with potentially an operational role afterwards.
Location: Germany
Salary: EUR 6500 (EUR 7200 after 3 month probation) +EUR 25 per diem
Leave: 25 days plus weekends + local public holidays-rotation when operational
Accommodation: Shared apartment provided.
