Summary
Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a 2nd Engineer for a 60m+ yacht
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Y3 Engineer or EOOW to join a great crew.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in yachting and be familiar with the demands of working on a similar-sized vessel. However commercial candidates are also welcome to apply.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Y3 or EOOW certification is essential.
- Previous yachting experience a plus but not essential
- Charter experience is a significant advantage.
- Must be a quick learner with a proactive approach.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Mechanically strong
- Electrically competent
- Machining skills a bonus
- Welding skills a bonus
- Able to work clean
- AV IT skills a bonus but required to be willing to learn
- Happy to assist in other departments
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, and repair of the yacht's engineering systems.
- Be hands-on and willing to assist in various areas as needed.
- Ensure the yacht is maintained to the highest standards, complying with safety regulations.
- Quickly adapt and learn new systems and procedures.
- Work closely with the Chief engineer and other crew members to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist on deck when necessary
