Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Chief Engineer for a 50m yacht
We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a 50 vessel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily engineering operations and addressing any technical issues that may arise.
Requirements
- C/E (MN)III/3 or III/3 (Y3)
- Proven experience in a similar role on similar sized vessels
- Caterpillar specific license
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Hands on and proactive
- Charter experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily engine room operations and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of machinery.
- Handle any technical issues or emergencies as they arise.
- Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth operation and adherence to protocols
There will be a comprehensive handover with the current Chief Engineer, along with full support from a highly capable 2nd Engineer.
Start date: End April/Start May
Location: Europe
Salary: EUR 10,000
Leave: 60 days
Vessel Program and itinerary- Busy Charter vessel cruising Italy and France in summer.
Followed by 25 year survey next winter in shipyard in SoF/Italy.
Single season med based
