Experienced Captain Needed for 85' US-Flagged Private Yacht
A busy and well-loved 85-foot private yacht is seeking an experienced Captain to lead its program. This is a full-time position for a US citizen or Green Card holder (no B1/B2 applications). The vessel operates with three full-time crew members: Captain/Engineer, Mate, and Cook/Stew.
About the Program:
- Home Base: West Palm Beach, FL (Owner’s condo under construction in Boca Raton; temporary onboard stays required)
- Upcoming Itinerary: Bahamas (Exumas) starting April 14, followed by a return to West Palm Beach before heading north for the summer
- Summer Base: Montauk, NY, with heavy owner usage
- Owners visit NYC on weekends but use the yacht extensively throughout the season
Captain’s Role & Requirements:
- Must have extensive experience running a yacht of this size
- Comfortable managing a high-usage program
- Responsible for vessel operations, safety, maintenance, and crew leadership
- Open to candidates who prefer to live ashore and go home at night when in home port
- Must hold a US passport or Green Card (No B1/B2 visas considered)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $10,000 per month (DOE)
- Crew accommodations being arranged for summer in Montauk
