License Required: Strong chef skills. Culinary trained and/or strong restaurant apprenticeship

Requirements: CHEF experience on yachts.

Positive References are extremely important. An outgoing personality, happy to cook for owners and crew. Active, happy disposition.

Good with a plating, timing, provisioning.

Good with guests and planning events.

Strong leadership skills

Organized

Extremely Clean 

Knowledge of US, Bahamas, BVIs/USVIs, New England provisioning.

STCW + Refresher as needed

PDSD

Food safety/hygiene

ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months) - unrestricted

US passport or B1/B2 visa 

Longevity with prior employment

Positive references - minimum of last three

Working for an experienced yacht owner - They spend a lot of time onboard. 3 months in New England and from 3-4 months in the US and Virgin Islands. They are an easy going family. They enjoy nice meals and will entertain quite a bit during the summer. You will have help as needed with catering, additional help, etc.
