Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Temp 2nd Engineer for a 50m yacht
We are currently seeking a Temp Engineer to assist preparing for an Atlantic crossing and with technical operations during the crossing.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the vessel’s technical systems during the crossing
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of onboard equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Assist with any emergency repairs as needed
- Monitor and record technical data for future reference
Requirements:
- Valid Y4 Engineering certification
- Proven experience working on yachts of similar size and complexity
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Availability for the full duration of the Atlantic crossing
Start date: 22 or 27 November
Location: Toulon or Gibraltar
Duration of contract: 1 month
Salary: DOE
Vessel itinerary: Toulon > Gibraltar > Cape Verde > Martinique > Sint Maarten
