The candidate specification
We are seeking a highly experienced Head Crew Chef to take full ownership of the galley on a 100M+ yacht. This is not your typical yacht chef role - it’s a dedicated crew chef position where you will remain permanently on board, while the other chefs rotate within the fleet.
You will be responsible for exclusively cooking for the crew, as the owner brings their own private chef. However, this role extends far beyond cooking. You will oversee all administrative and operational aspects of the galley, ensuring it runs efficiently at all times. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provisioning & Stock Management – Sourcing and maintaining high-quality ingredients to keep the galley well-stocked.
- Cleaning & Hygiene Protocols – Establishing and managing deep-cleaning schedules, ensuring all sanitation standards are met.
- Organization & Logistics – Handling galley-related admin, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating orders.
- Team Coordination – Working alongside two other rotating chefs, ensuring smooth operations when they are on board.
To excel in this role, you must have prior experience running a galley on a similar-sized yacht and be confident in managing both the culinary and administrative aspects of the kitchen.
