Position: Temporary Captain – 85’ US-Flagged Private Yacht
Location: South Florida / Bahamas (Exumas)
Start Date: No later than April 12
A well-loved and actively used 85’ US-flagged private yacht is seeking an experienced Temporary Captain to lead an upcoming Bahamas trip for the owners. This is a short-term contract ideal for a hands-on, seasoned professional with strong local knowledge.
Position Details:
- Itinerary: Departing for the Exumas on April 14
- First leg: 2 weeks with owners onboard
- One-week owner break (yacht remains in the Bahamas)
- Second leg: 10 days with owners onboard
- Return voyage to West Palm Beach, FL
Candidate Requirements:
- Must have extensive experience running similar-sized vessels
- Solid Bahamas cruising experience, particularly in the Exumas
- Comfortable managing a high-usage private program
- Responsible for all vessel operations, safety, maintenance oversight, and crew leadership
- Must hold a US passport or Green Card (No B1/B2 visas accepted)
- Must be able to interview in South Florida this week and commit to a 3–4 week contract

Compensation:
- $10,000/month or competitive day rate (DOE)
