The candidate specification:
Bosun to join a prestigious, modern 55 meter private, single-season yacht.The yacht often travels off the beaten track for big-game Marlin fishing as a support yacht.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, practical person, able to work harmoniously with the deck team. The crew is known for their easy-going personalities and strong work ethic, so we are seeking someone who can seamlessly integrate into this environment. The ability to cover navigational watches as OOW is of great benefit. Must be suitably knowledgeable to do so but not necessarily with an OOW ticket.
Note: This position requires a candidate with comprehensive deck operational and maintenance skills, product knowledge, organisational and leadership skills to successfully fulfil the outlined responsibilities. We are looking for a Bosun in the deck team NOT a 2nd Officer on the Bridge.
Qualification:
STCW ’95 Basic Safety Training, ENG1 (no restrictions), Discharge Book and RYA Yachtmaster Offshore. B1/B2 visa an advantage but not immediately required.
Male candidate only due to cabin arrangements and Europe based.
