Seeking a Deck/Engineer for the following:
Classic US FLAGGED 100ft Charter M/Y based in Maine for the Summer Season
This beautifully refit, historic motor yacht runs a classy and laid-back program, offering guests a traditional yachting experience. The vessel is actively seeking a Deck/Engineer to join for the summer season, with the potential for a permanent position. The ideal candidate will appreciate the charm and history of a classic yacht and be looking for a unique summer experience. There will be a 3-4 day handover available.
The vessel charters out of Maine during the summer months and maintains a relaxed yet professional environment.
Own private cabin provided.
Start date ideally by June 1st or sooner. Pay is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all deck operations, including docking, anchoring, line handling, and exterior maintenance
- Perform engineering duties, troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems
- Support the captain and crew in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the yacht
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and care for the yacht’s appearance and systems
- Assist with guest activities and water sports setup when required
- Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use
Requirements
- AEC 1 and AEC 2 certifications required
- MUST be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Previous experience on similar-sized vessels preferred
- Strong mechanical skills and hands-on approach to troubleshooting and repairs
- Professional, positive attitude with the ability to fit into a small, tight-knit crew
- Appreciation for classic vessels and attention to detail in maintaining a traditional yacht
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
- Previous references required
